Hosted in Vienna following Austriaโs 2025 victory, this yearโs contest saw 25 countries compete in the Grand Final, with viewers across Europe and beyond tuning in for one of the biggest nights in live entertainment.
The UKโs Tough Night In Vienna
Representing the United Kingdom this year was Look Mum No Computer, the stage name of musician and inventor Sam Battle, with his eccentric synth-pop track โEins, Zwei, Dreiโ.
Known online for creating bizarre DIY electronic instruments and massive homemade synthesisers, Sam brought a completely different energy to the Eurovision stage. The performance featured giant computer props, industrial visuals and quirky choreography that certainly stood out from the crowd.
The song itself mixed upbeat electronic production with humorous lyrics about escaping the boredom of everyday life, with German counting phrases becoming the trackโs memorable hook.

Unfortunately for the UK, the votes simply did not land.
Despite automatically qualifying for the final as part of Eurovisionโs โBig Fourโ, the United Kingdom received just 1 point overall, finishing dead last in 25th place. The entry also failed to score any public televote points.
Still, many fans online praised the entry for at least taking a creative risk and doing something completely different compared to previous UK Eurovision attempts. Reddit discussions and social media reactions described the performance as โchaoticโ, โunhingedโ, and โpeak Eurovision energyโ, while others felt it was simply too unusual for mainstream voters.
Bulgaria Wins Eurovision 2026
At the other end of the scoreboard, Bulgaria dominated the night with a huge 516 points, taking victory ahead of Israel and Romania. Finland, Italy and Australia also placed strongly in what became one of the most competitive finals in recent years.
The final top five were:
- Bulgaria - 516
- Israel - 343
- Romania - 296
- Australia - 287
- Italy - 281
Meanwhile, Sweden shockingly finished down in 20th place with only 51 points, despite entering the contest as one of the pre-show favourites.
A Performance Eurovision Fans Wonโt Forget
Even with the disappointing result, Look Mum No Computer has arguably delivered one of the most memorable UK Eurovision performances in years.
From self-built synth machines to bizarre computer-themed staging, โEins, Zwei, Dreiโ fully embraced the weird and wonderful spirit Eurovision is famous for. While the scoreboard may not have been kind, the performance certainly got people talking.
